Pidgorodne Children's Home I

The city of Pidgorodne is located on the bank of the Samara river, 15 km north of the district center Dnipropetrovsk, and about 460 km southeast of the capital Kyiv.
Like so many Ukrainian towns and villages, this town has seen much misery in its past, particularly in 1932 and 1933 the place was hit by the Holodomor, a great famine. Nevertheless, the city has continued to grow both economically and in terms of residents, and today it has almost 20.000 inhabitants.
In this city, where the world seems to be in order today, the foundation has built a Children's Home in 2020. A pair of parents was willing to devote their lives to the children who were denied the chance to have a happy childhood.

It's not the big story or major industrial decisions that matter. It is the individual destinies, small personalities, that are considered important and valuable here. Children who have lost their parents or whose parents lost custody for not taking care now learn about parenting. They are loved here, spoiled but also educated, so that they learn everything important to be able to shape their future worth living.

The happy laughter was the key to the opening of the Children's Home on July 23, 2020.
