Lviv is located in the very west of Ukraine, about 60 km from the Polish border. With about 730,000 inhabitants, the city is one of the ten largest cities in Ukraine. It is the most western/European city in Ukraine and its Old Town is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and is dominated by Renaissance, Baroque, Classicist and Art Nouveau buildings.
Unfortunately, the beauty of the city cannot prevent cases of child neglect and child poverty here as well. If the parents have not died, it is not uncommon for children to become social orphans because their parents neglect them in various ways. A child is neglected when he or she is not paid attention to, but also when he or she is not fed or, just as bad, not loved.
In order to give the orphans in Lviv the opportunity to experience all this again, a Children's House was built there in 2021. The couple that moves into this children's home takes on the responsibility of a very special kind. Up to 12 children will get a home here, with everything that belongs to it, with a warm bed, full fridge and parents who will love them.
On 08.07.2021 the Children's House was opened and since then it can be filled with life.
