Kushugum Children's Home II

In the little town Kushugum in the south-east of Ukraine, the foundation DIE BRÜCKE ZUM LEBEN (THE BRIDGE TO LIFE) facilitated the construction of a Children’s Home on the property of the local evangelical free-church, which opened in autumn of 2014.

On the day of the opening ceremony many interested and curious visitors walked through the rooms and halls that soon would become a home to twelve orphans.

The roomy kitchen and the cozy living room offer enough space for the entire family and guests. Several bathrooms, some storage closets, as well as a laundry room provide all the necessary spaces for everyday life.

When the Children’s Home II was opened, the foundation installed in both homes a new heating system that uses wood or coal, which lowers the cost of heating considerably.

A playground next door, also constructed by the foundation, is a special treat for the children.
