Korosten Children's Home II

The political situation of recent years in the Ukraine made the already poor situation of Orphans increasingly worse. More and more children loose their parents, and with them also shelter and loving care. The evangelical free-church in Korosten, in the area of Schytomyr which is about 90 miles from the capital Kiev, could no longer just stand there and watch how these children grew up without a perspective for the future.

Since they did not have the means themselves to build a home for these children, they asked the foundation for help. The official agencies enthusiastically welcomed the plan and immediately processed the required construction permits. The foundations have been poured and this much needed Children’s Home I was finished in 2016.

Since the land owned by the evangelical free-church allows for another Children’s Home, the foundation answered the urgent plea by building Children’s Home II. Now the two Children’s Homes combined will become a warm and loving Family cradle for up to 24 orphans.

The finished Children’s Home II was festively opened on November 6, 2016.
