Playgrounds – more of a Childhood for Children

Playgrounds are a good way of giving children more of a childhood. They offer them the opportunity to play together and provide time for children to be listened to when in need, to be comforted and invited to talk in greater depth. Finally, playgrounds offer the opportunity to plan attractive programme of activities for children. Sometimes these playgrounds also become a meeting place for parents and caretakers, but in all cases they bring children a lot of pleasure and promote their development.

There are hundreds of playgrounds that are hardly worthy of their name, and so the establishment of new, modern playgrounds gives children the much-needed chance to let off steam and forget the grey realities of their everyday lives for a while.
Most children’s homes in the countries described above have few enough resources to deal with everyday necessities, so meaningful projects such as these have to be put on hold.
