After finishing two Children’s Homes in the City of Dunajiwizi, which is located in the Chmelnyzkyj region, about 200 miles south-west of Kiev, the request for a construction permit for a third home was submitted. Any doubts on the side of the officials about whether the foundation would actually build another desperately needed Children’s Home in their city had long been dispelled at this point.
Once in 2017 at the shore of the River Ternowka the Children’s Home III will be finished, up to 36 children will have a chance to grow up in a warm family environment.
On July 14, the time had come and well over one hundred people gathered to celebrate the opening ceremony.
When the head social worker gave her congratulatory speech a young boy said, „I know this woman, she helped me to find a foster family. Now I have a mom and dad.“
All participants were moved to tears when this boy ran up to her to give her a hug and thank her.
