Baltata is a place located about 20 km southeast of the capital, Chisinau. The Union of Evangelical Free Churches owns approximately 10 hectares of land there, where a recreation and leisure center has been established. It is a picturesque location, with an oak forest on one side and green meadows and blooming gardens on the other. It is quietly situated, far from the hustle and bustle of the city. The construction of this center began in 2017. The facility includes a main building with a large kitchen and a dining hall that can also be transformed into an event space, accommodating up to 500 people. Above part of the main building, there are several guest rooms. Accommodations for 300 children are located right next door. Each of the six holiday houses, which can each accommodate 50 children, has its own sanitary facilities and common areas.
Throughout the year, several children’s retreats are organized here. These moments are unforgettable for the children as they spend time with other kids, forming new friendships. The colorful program, including morning exercises with music, various indoor and outdoor games, shared learning from the Word of God, hikes, and free time, is unbeatable. Family retreats are also offered on this site. Parents and children especially enjoy this time, as everyday tasks and appointments take a backseat.
