Supporting widows is an integral part of the Foundation’s work. Once a year, a special gathering for widows takes place in collaboration with a local church in Chișinău. This year, too, a gathering was organised at the church’s premises at the end of July.
The widows are provided with a hot meal and also receive a food parcel containing essential staples. But just as important as the practical support is the sense of community. It is moving to witness the openness, trust and profound conversations that develop on this day.
The widows’ gathering offers fellowship, encouragement and new hope. Existing relationships are nurtured, new connections are formed, and the women realise that they have not been forgotten and do not have to walk their path alone.
