Parents' vacation

This year, a special parental leave took place in Moldova for the second time.

The focus was on the foster parents from our children's homes, who work tirelessly every day to provide disadvantaged and orphaned children with a loving home.

The parents' retreat was created to give foster parents a well-deserved break from their challenging everyday lives, to recharge their batteries and to strengthen them in their important work. In addition to relaxation, encouragement and exchange were also at the forefront. Parents were able to share experiences, learn from each other and gain new perspectives on how to deal with difficult situations.

The therapeutic impulses were also particularly valuable, encouraging parents and reminding them that they have each other and are supported by their faith.

In addition to the content-related part, there was also plenty of time for relaxation. Walks in nature, fishing, shared meals, and creative activities gave them new strength and strengthened the community among them. Many parents expressed how good it felt to be understood and to take home new motivation for everyday life.

The parents' retreat is therefore not only a blessing for the parents themselves, but also a great benefit for the children in the long term.
