Children's Home in Swaljawa

In about 470 miles distance from the national capital Kiev and 19 miles away from Mukatschevo the city of Swaljawa is nestled in the beautiful landscape of Transcarpathia. The local evangelical free-church runs a kindergarten for 6-8 year olds. Children have alway been dear to their heart and now they want to do something for the most defenseless of them. Next to their church they own a piece of land and approached the foundation with the request to build a Children’s Home there.

"It is hurtful,“ said the pastor, "to see children in our immediate surroundings that just vegetate without hope. We want to offer them a loving home, a happy childhood, and a perspective for the future.“ Upon this request the Foundation built a Children’s Home here in 2017, which was festively opened on November 10.
