Children's Home in Mokra Kaligorka

Alla and Pavel Kuzenko from the village of Mokra Kaligorka in the Cherkasy District tell their story: “Two months after our wedding in 2002, we welcomed a nine-year old girl into our home as a foster child. We were so upset to think that there are children near us who have to grow up without the warmth and affection of a family home. So we decided to open our hearts and our home to further orphans.
At the moment, we are bringing up five foster children and would like to take in seven more. Sadly, we just do not have the space for these children.

We were delighted when the foundation "Die Brücke zum Leben" (bridge to life) decided to build a children’s home in our village. The authorities were also enthusiastic about the idea and it was possible to begin work on the project without delay.
On 27 July, 2015, the exciting day arrived. The children’s home was officially opened. The children, and of course we too as parents, are thrilled to have a new home for our family.
Many people from the village, young and old, came along on the day to share in our joy at the new children’s home.”
